A hilarious spoof of the best of the Agatha Christie traditions, this English whodunnit twists and turns with side-splitting antics and ever-increasing merriment and confusion.
Set in a country manor house in the glorious 1930’s, the colourful cast of characters guaranteed to delight include – Bunting the Butler; Colonel Charles Craddock with the prerequisite stiff upper lip; the bumbling local inspector and his Constable; and a well meaning local sleuth Miss Maple, who seems to attract murder wherever she goes. Add to this a high society debutante, a shady French art dealer and his moll, and supporting cast, and you have the perfect recipe for uproarious fun and hysterical happenings. But following the mysterious death of the house’s owner, will the murderer be unmasked before every one else has met their doom, or will the audience die laughing first? The perfect end of year play!

PLAY 4 Minefields and Miniskirts by Terence O’Connell, adapted from the book by Siobhan McHugh

Director: Shane Ryan, 4 - 19 September

In a series of interconnected monologues, this Australian play brings to life a collage of true stories: a volunteer, a journalist, a nurse, an entertainer and the wife of a veteran relive the emotional years of the Vietnam War.

By turns poignant, moving and funny, this cleverly written play intersperses songs from the 60s and 70s with personal narratives to achieve a sense of what this era meant for a generation of Australian women.

PLAY 5 'Allo 'Allo by: Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft

Director: Tim Long, 13 - 28 November

Based on the popular British television series, this uproarious comedy relates the adventures of a hapless café owner in occupied France.

He and his wife have stashed a priceless portrait stolen by the Nazis in a sausage in their cellar, where two British airmen are also hiding until the Resistance can repatriate them.

Communications with London using the wireless that is disguised as a cockatoo add to the many embarrassments this intrepid proprietor endures in the company of his patrons.

News that the Fuhrer is scheduled to visit the town inspires tricksters disguised as Hitler to frequent the cafe.

Meanwhile Rene summons all the wit he can muster to save his cafe and his life.
